Campus: Our 10-acre campus is a green island conveniently located atop Pantops that is certified as a cooperative sanctuary with Audubon International and the National Wildlife Federation.

Garden: In the summer Mountaintop's expansive Big Garden is home to a wide variety of fruits and veggies for campers to tend, harvest and enjoy. The adjacent chicken coop provides eggs, a place to recycle kitchen scraps, and just plain fun.

Greenhouse: The 850 square foot geodesic Growing Dome has beds for growing produce as well as a 2300 gallon aquaculture tank.

Kitchens: Our classrooms are equipped for campers of all ages to experience the simple pleasures of preparing and sharing fresh food. Our classrooms and kitchens are nut and peanut-free to provide a safe environment for campers with allergies.

Classrooms: Each group at camp has a classroom to call home for the summer. There is a bounty of field guides and specimens campers can use to solve the mysteries that often arise during garden work and nature play.

Places to Play: Mountaintop's natural play spaces, soccer field, basketball court, gym and playgrounds provide campers with lots of options for finding fun with new friends during breaks from the garden and kitchen.

Favorite Local Destinations: seed campers love to explore the wide variety of natural areas and farms that are easily accessible from Mountaintop. Wading in the Rivanna at Darden Towe and hiking shady trails at Ivy Creek or Sugar Hollow are great ways to stay cool on hot summer days.
