Mountaintop’s SEED (1-6 grade) and Sprout (age 3-kindergarten) camps are offered during Charlottesville and Albemarle County Public Schools' spring break each year.
Children spend their time sowing seeds in the garden, harvesting greenhouse and early-producing crops, and exploring Mountaintop's beautiful campus as it buds and blossoms for another growing year. Spring is a great time to be here working in the garden & greenhouse and we love to share this peak time for planting with friends from all over the area.

Our 10-acre campus is a green island conveniently located atop Pantops and is certified as a cooperative sanctuary with Audubon International and the National Wildlife Federation. It is equipped with playgrounds, gardens, a chicken coop, art studio, and a 850 square ft. geodesic growing dome with a 2,300 gallon aquaculture tank. Each group has a classroom to call home for the week, an environment carefully prepared with materials to entice and inspire campers' ecological exploration.
