Financial Aid

We understand that the prospect of a tuition bill can make an independent school education seem out of reach for many families. Mountaintop Montessori's Financial Aid program is designed to make a Montessori education possible for all families to attend through middle school based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. Mountaintop is proud to use Clarity Financial Aid to determine a family's level of financial need based on the information families provide in the application, which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

Once a family has completed the online application, our financial aid application p rocess then considers additional factors such as the length of time a family has been at Mountaintop or enrolled in Montessori elsewhere, the levels at which their children are enrolled, the family's level of participation in events and initiatives within the Mountaintop community, and our goal of enrolling a diverse range of families at the school.

To proceed with an application, complete the steps below by the last day in February to apply for the following school year. After this deadline, applications will only be accepted if funding remains available. Please reach out to the school to inquire about availability.

Financial Aid award letters will be shared no later than April 30th each year.

Step 1: Go to https://app.clarityapp.com/sign-up

Step 2: Begin your application and add Mountaintop Montessori to your student applicant entry. You can save your application, log out at any time, and return later to complete it.

Step 3: US Taxpayers: Complete the Clarity Enhanced Tax Verification (ETV) process to release your W2 and personal tax return transcripts from the IRS. You'll be asked to authorize the sharing of your tax transcripts and verify your identity. This is a one-time security measure required by the IRS to protect against identity theft and the compromise of personal information. Only those filing US taxes will be prompted to complete this step. Clarity offers two options for enhanced tax verification process: "Clarity" and "IRS". Please reference the Tax Verification Guide to preview the steps of this process. [The IRS pathway is significantly faster, allowing for the tax documents to transfer to Clarity within 24 hours. Clarity has found that families who have an IRS.gov account before starting the Clarity Application have a much easier time completing the process.]

Step 4: Enter your financial information, review your application, and pay the $65 Clarity application fee.

Step 5: Submit your Clarity application and follow the link to return to your dashboard. Here you will see any additional supporting documents requested by Mountaintop. Upload your supporting documents by the application deadline. Keep in mind that at a later date, you may be prompted by the school via Clarity to upload additional documentation as needed.

If parents are separated or divorced, it is important the both parties complete an application. Generally, it is expected that both parents will contribute to their child's educational expenses. Please contact the Director of Business Operations to discuss the circumstances pertaining to your family's situation. Financial need is not considered in determining a student's eligibility for admission.
